Blind Date with a Billionaire Biker Blind Date Disasters Book 3 edition by Evangeline Kelly Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
- This book was a unique twist in the billionaire romance genre. Not only did it have an interesting plot but a great message about faith, stereotypes and overcoming personal issues.
Tirzah comes from an ultra-conservative upbringing where marriages are arranged and parents are to be obeyed. Her life is thrown into a tizzy (which becomes her nickname in our story) when through unexpected circumstances she is sent to live with a previously unknown grandfather who just happens to be the leader of a biker club. There her faith clashes with her grandfather Carl’s beliefs which shower people with grace, acceptance and love. Through him she meets Dex who shatters her stereotypes and helps introduce her to a God who is not a tyrant. What about all the rules? Can she really have more than the expectations she’s had since childhood?
Dex was rejected by his billionaire father and always saw himself as a failure. Through Carl’s club, now his family, he’s found what was missing. He no longer seeks escape through drugs or other means. He now has a mission—to reach out to the lost and hurting, yet the wound left by his dad has never healed. Can he forgive his father? As he wrestles with his dad’s effort to reconcile he meets Carl’s granddaughter, a woman he saved three years earlier from a riot and never forgot. His life just got a lot more interesting.
Can Dex and Tirzah move beyond their obvious differences and find the real love they both need? Will her parents and his past get in the way? - This was an excellent book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn't let go until the end. Tirzah comes from a very conservative home and church. She has to make decisions about what she believes in and how she will live her life. In the midst of figuring things out, she was told that her life is in danger and she will need to live with her biological grandfather. She finds a new life and freedom that she has never known. She must make a choice about how she wants to live. Tirzah must also figure out how to continue to honor her parents without bowing to their wishes. Dex is a reformed biker that lives his life for Christ. That alone is a contradiction, yet he is also the sole heir to a billion-dollar company. Dex must learn forgiveness and reconcile with his father. I love the characters and what they had to struggle with. I liked that they came from different backgrounds and were so attracted to each other. The chemistry between the couple was amazing. Once again the author did an amazing job of making the characters mature before they were ready to be a part of a relationship. This was an amazing book that I would love to read again and again. I recommend this book to anyone that loves opposite attract, inspirational romance.
I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review. - Blind Date With a Billionaire Biker is a wonderful, inspirational romance. The story is unique - definitely not the usual billionaire fare. The characters are extremely well written. I loved Tizzy's grandfather and the rest of the bikers who rode to bring Christ to people. Tizzy and Dex are great together. Once I started the story ,I could not put the book down. I highly recommend this book.
- Romance, clean; strong Christian faith elements
Definitely strong Christian faith elements. Tizzy's story was interesting. She and Dex had an interesting fall. The first few chapters felt kind of stilted, and slow, but after that the book was more readable. Perhaps because of the religious setting of her parents. The whole family dynamics were kind of flat with the forced relationships and parental posturing.
Once Tizzy went to her grandfather's, the story read much more naturally. If I had only read the first few chapters, it would have been a 2, but more of a 2.5 for me as a reader. This was more of a religious message book than a romance? They were a cute, sincere, couple so rounded up higher to a 3. If you don't like Christian faith books, it definitely isn't for you. I loved Tank and Dex and the other bikers. They were genuine, honest and real. Rounded up for those characters and that setting. - I loved that the main characters leaned on their faith and encouraged each other to pray about their concerns before making decisions.
I loved that Dex and Tank were honorable men that kept their promises. - Wow what a profound story. I could relate in so many ways. Being raised in a conservative home, I could relate to the no pants, no room for error in the church. I could even relate to the drug issues. It's sad that Tirzah's father had to hide his weakness from the church and couldn't even look to the church for prayer. Unfortunately it happens in so many churches because they are full of judgmental people. Thank the Lord there are also churches that have compassion and help people when they are faced with everyday life issues. Tirzah and Dex were a beautiful couple even when it looked like the odds were against them. I loved Tirzah's grandfather and I think all of us could learn something from him. The dialogue kept switching from the h to the H, but that did distract from the story. Would recommend for all ages.
- This story started off with a bang, and never slowed down! The characters were so relatable. Their struggles and accomplishments had me crying and cheering. I found the lessons of acceptance of others so poignant. I loved the scripture references and the faith journey the many characters experienced.
The romance was tender, and clean, though slightly unbelievable at times. I appreciated that the physical intimacy was so Disney.
On a steaminess level I would rate this a pleasant G. - God never looks at the outside. He sees the heart and can transform anybody from the inside out. He also provides all we need to be happy and fulfilled.
